Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Science degree
in Accounting where she was a member of the Beta Alpha Psi,
the honors accounting association at the University. Subsequently
she received a Master of Science at University of Southern California.
She has over 30 years experience in the field of public accounting.
After graduation from college, Ms. Ostroff was a Senior Accountant
with the national firm of Haskins and Sells during which time
she specialized in auditing of small businesses and consulting
with individuals in the area of income taxation. After obtaining
a broad range of experiences at a large public accounting firm
and later with a real estate development group, she branched
off on her own to open a private practice specializing in business
management and taxation. Recently she has developed an additional
emphasis in her practice in the area of administration and taxation
of estates and trusts in order to assist in the financial situations
for an aging population. As well, she works with non-profit
corporations performing the annual certified audits required
by the groups to obtain the necessary grants from local agencies.
Her offices have been located in Malibu, California and Beverly
Hills, California and most recently in Santa Barbara, California.
For many years Ms. Ostroff also taught accounting classes to
beginning accounting students at two of the California state
junior colleges in southern California in a effort to encourage
young business majors to consider careers in the field of public
accounting.
Active in a multitude of professional and business societies
including the California Society of CPAs, the Womens
Accounting Society of Santa Barbara, and the Montecito Rotary
Club, Ms. Ostroff enjoys the continual educational challenges
of the ever-changing taxation and accounting profession.
